About the role
- Review contributions, loan payments, employee distributions, and salary deferral changes accurately.
- Manage 401(k) contributions to include all contributions are set up and employee changes, along with reconciling contributions for payroll.
- Oversee all 401(k) vesting percentages to ensure accuracy, including reviewing distribution requests.
- Review and research all errors in Fidelity bi-weekly reports and update the systems accordingly.
- Ensure plan compliance with IRS and DOL regulations. Perform annual nondiscrimination testing and assist with annual audit.
- Conducting bi-weekly payroll file audits to confirm accuracy and manage electronic 401(k) files.
- Guide employees on eligibility and enrollment.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years administering 401(k) or defined contribution plans.
- Strong knowledge of IRS, DOL, and ERISA regulations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Finance or equivalent experience.
- Self-starter with extreme detail orientation.
- Team player with a can-do attitude who is flexible and comfortable with changing priorities/deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop solid relationships with HR colleagues and vendors.
- Comfortable handling confidential and highly sensitive data.
