About the role
- Design, build, and evolve data services, pipelines, and workflows that power Check Fraud Consortium Analytics capabilities.
- Contribute to the technical design and implementation of analytics-driven features that enable collaboration across financial institutions while preserving data privacy.
- Own complex problem spaces end-to-end — from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and ongoing reliability.
- Partner closely with Product, Data, Engineering, and Customer teams to deliver proof points that demonstrate customer value and influence product direction.
- Improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of core capabilities, including data ingestion, batch processing, analytics workflows, and automated resolution paths.
- Drive technical quality through code reviews, thoughtful design discussions, and a strong focus on operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years experience building and maintaining production object-oriented software, with hands-on development in languages such as Java and Python.
- Proven ability to analyze large datasets and solve complex problems, using sound analytical judgment and creative approaches.
- Experience translating customer and business needs into technical and analytical implementations that deliver clear value.
- Collaborative, clear communicator who is willing to ask for help, learn from others, mentor teammates, and contribute positively in fast-moving, cross-functional environments.
