About the role

Design, develop, and support cutting-edge technical solutions for enterprise data integration
Implement data normalization and ingestion solutions in AWS using Spark, Postgres, Java, Scala and Unix Utilities
Define a strategy for data flows to meet the requirements of the Verafin application
Partner with cross-functional data teams to design, implement, and uphold technical best practices in data engineering, architecture, and governance—ensuring scalable, secure, and high-quality data solutions
Work hands-on with the latest AWS technologies and big data to solve complex, real-world challenges
Produce clean and efficient code, ensure uptime, health, and security of cloud-based services
Collaborate with data teams and iterate on coding practices for continuous improvement

A university degree or college diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
2-5 years development experience
Strong analytical skills for complex and creative problem solving
Experience in object-oriented software development (Java)
Experience with Database technologies (PostgresSQL)
Experience with Spark, Scala, Unix utilities
An understanding of AI methodologies applicable to this area would be beneficial
Automated testing
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; able to work closely with team members
