About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead complex client engagements from intake through billing
  • Prepare proposals and develop investigative plans
  • Manage clients, staff, research progress, budgets, work product, billing, and collection
  • Lead client intake meetings and generate business opportunities
  • Manage staffing in collaboration with the NY Deputy Office Head and under supervision of US and regional office heads
  • Supervise junior staff by monitoring utilization, performance, and training
  • Hold monthly check-ins and monitor junior staff progress and well-being
  • Prepare for and participate in performance evaluations
  • Participate in recruitment activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant investigative and supervisory experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively, verbally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity for confidentiality
  • Task-oriented, highly organized, and able to handle multiple sensitive matters simultaneously
  • Excellent sense of priority, logic, and objectivity
  • Superior leadership skills and ability to build consensus, motivate others, and effect change
  • Ability to motivate a diverse workforce and assure accountability for quality services
  • Ability to contribute significantly to the firm's financial performance
  • Demonstrable enthusiasm, integrity, and ethical behavior
  • College degree required
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Fluency in a language other than English preferred
  • Some travel required
