About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead complex client engagements from intake through billing
- Prepare proposals and develop investigative plans
- Manage clients, staff, research progress, budgets, work product, billing, and collection
- Lead client intake meetings and generate business opportunities
- Manage staffing in collaboration with the NY Deputy Office Head and under supervision of US and regional office heads
- Supervise junior staff by monitoring utilization, performance, and training
- Hold monthly check-ins and monitor junior staff progress and well-being
- Prepare for and participate in performance evaluations
- Participate in recruitment activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant investigative and supervisory experience
- Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively, verbally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity for confidentiality
- Task-oriented, highly organized, and able to handle multiple sensitive matters simultaneously
- Excellent sense of priority, logic, and objectivity
- Superior leadership skills and ability to build consensus, motivate others, and effect change
- Ability to motivate a diverse workforce and assure accountability for quality services
- Ability to contribute significantly to the firm's financial performance
- Demonstrable enthusiasm, integrity, and ethical behavior
- College degree required
- Advanced degree preferred
- Fluency in a language other than English preferred
- Some travel required
