About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the administration of bankruptcy estates, litigation and liquidating trusts, and receiverships.
  • Identify and analyze causes of action in the insolvency context.
  • Advise boards, committees, lenders, and other stakeholders on out-of-court workouts and Chapter 11 matters.
  • Analyze complex capital structures, including lien priority and payment waterfalls.
  • Work fluently across credit agreements, indentures, and corporate governing documents.
  • Translate complex financial, legal, and investigative findings into clear memoranda, reports, and presentations.
  • Maintain a live watchlist of stressed and distressed companies and monitor public filings.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 4 years in restructuring, bankruptcy, distressed or credit investing, leveraged finance, or turnaround advisory.
  • Working command of the bankruptcy and insolvency process, corporate credit, and distressed situations.
  • Strong financial accounting and modeling skills (Excel);
  • Fluency with credit documentation (credit agreements and indentures), court-filings, and other legal documents;
  • Top-tier PowerPoint skills.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Octus (formerly Reorg), Debtwire, 9fin, Capital IQ, and Lexis/Westlaw is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong project management and organizational skills;
  • Comfort operating across legal and financial domains;
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled research and analytical tools.
