About the role
- Support clients with land transactions, tenancies, renewables, estate planning, and related rural property matters
- Assist with buying and selling farms, refinancing rural estates, and succession planning for farming families
- Work on easements, diversification projects, claw back agreements, and unregistered land
- Collaborate with land agents, banks, and tax specialists
- Contribute to the Farm Future service to preserve clients’ agricultural futures
Requirements
- Genuine interest in rural life, farming, and agriculture
- Legal experience in a support role (conveyancing, commercial property, or real estate)
- Experience using the Land Registry portal
- Understanding of SDLT (Stamp Duty Land Tax)
- Experience drafting contracts and starting work on own files
- Connection to the countryside or local/rural background
