Conduct defective unit analysis, reverse engineering, and root cause analysis on returned products to identify and solve complex hardware issues.
Perform circuit design and analysis for new and existing products, with a focus on embedded systems and CPUs.
Design and review testing paradigms, perform hands-on product and reliability testing using bench equipment (DMM, Oscilloscope, etc.), and operate testing scripts.
Work independently and collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams. You will be expected to maintain thorough documentation and communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and our Asia-Pacific manufacturing partners.
Take responsibility for lab organization and management to ensure an efficient and effective testing environment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
3+ years of experience in hands-on hardware development environment
Deep understanding of circuit design, component principles, and embedded systems
Comfortable working through schematic and layouts of analog, digital, and mixed-signal board design, including high-speed digital signal interfaces, multi-layer boards, and RF design
Experienced with hands-on lab work, including soldering, re-work, and operating test bench equipment
Proficient in schematic capture and layout tools (like Altium, Fusion 360, Eagle)
Strong analytical abilities, with experience in root cause analysis and designing validation tests
Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and experience in thorough documentation and reporting
