About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support billing operations and financial transaction processing with accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Perform collections activities, including account research, payment reconciliation, customer communications, and maintaining collection records
- Support refund processing, payment verification, account reconciliation, and deposit verification
- Support billing cycle activities, financial transaction reviews, reporting, and reconciliation functions
- Handle account updates, research undeliverable communications, and coordinate issue resolution with internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, monitor account activity, communicate status updates, and escalate issues
- Provide backup support for billing, payment, reconciliation, and collection functions
- Communicate effectively with customers, technical teams, business development, data analysis, Finance, and NAIC support groups
- Report responsibility status to NIPR management weekly and/or monthly
- Handle customer complaints, support other staff, and perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree
- Five (5) years related work experience in accounting, billing, financial operations, or customer service functions, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- CRM experience such as PeopleSoft, Salesforce, SQL tables, or Gateway preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with billing operations, payment review, account reconciliation, collections, and customer account management
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with ability to meet deadlines and manage complaints
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Close vision and attention to detail required
- Ability to respond to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members
- Ability to present information to management and instruct others in applications or procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow established procedures and organizational policies and standards
- Ability to collaborate with technical and business staff on billing enhancements
- Willingness to travel occasionally for team meetings and in-person organizational events
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable
