About the role
- Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using best practices for scalability, reliability, and security.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using AWS CDK or CloudFormation.
- Build, maintain, and optimize cloud environments (dev, QA, staging, production).
- Implement and manage observability frameworks including logging, monitoring, alerting, and metrics.
- Automate build, deployment, and release processes using CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with teams to containerize applications using Docker and integrate with deployment workflows.
- Develop automation scripts and tools using Python.
- Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues.
- Collaborate with development, architecture, and QA teams to ensure smooth delivery cycles.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of AWS architecture and core services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, VPC, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.)
- Hands-on experience in Infrastructure-as-Code using AWS CDK or CloudFormation
- Proficiency in Python for automation and tooling
- Experience with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
- Expertise with Docker and container-based deployments
- Knowledge of observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, etc.)
- Strong understanding of release automation, deployment strategies, and environment management
- Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (VPC, subnets, routing, security groups)
- Experience working in agile, fast-moving engineering environments
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
