About the role
- Lead and manage the design team within your domain/sub-domain ensuring effective collaboration and communication
- Build strong stakeholder relationships to increase the impact and reach of design
- Continuously explore emerging design trends, conduct research, and experiment with new design methodologies
- Operationalise design strategies into daily activity for the design team
- Ensure team members apply best practices in research and user testing within projects
- Track in-flight and upcoming design work across all stages of the end to end experience
- Enforce high standards for design quality across all projects
- Advocate for the importance of inclusive design and provide training & support to the team
- Support the design team in implementing the design system consistently across projects
- Manage stakeholder relationships, facilitating clear communication on project goals and design progress
Requirements
- 7+ years experience working as a product designer or UX/UI designer
- Experience within finance or service industries
- Demonstrated ability to partner and successfully work with multiple disciplines and complex teams
- Excellent working knowledge of the design process, experience design methodologies and principles
- Demonstrated strong experience working in Agile, using agile tools & methods
- Proven experience setting and using design processes and tools to digitise experiences
- Preference for tertiary qualification in related industry
