💰 £30,514 - £33,280 per year
About the role
- Lead and inspire your playroom team to deliver the play-based N Curriculum
- Manage daily routines (mealtimes, naptimes) and ensure children’s needs are met
- Oversee planning, observations, and assessments; create development-focused activity plans
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with children, families, and your team
- Ensure the room is safe, clean, engaging and reflects high standards
- Embed and uphold policies, procedures, and safeguarding practices
- Motivate, coach, and support your team; foster a positive, collaborative atmosphere
- Contribute to the wider nursery management team and drive continuous improvement
- Oversee the smooth running of the room and shape experiences for children and staff
Requirements
- Proven experience in a leadership role within an early years environment
- Level 3 Early Years qualification or above (full & relevant)
- Paediatric First Aid (12 hours) and willingness to maintain certification
- Up-to-date safeguarding knowledge (or willingness to refresh regularly)
- Passion for early years education and commitment to raising standards
- Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, can-do attitude
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to manage a team effectively and maintain high-quality provision
