About the role

  • Provide authoritative subject matter expertise on government contracting process and procedures needed to comply with appropriate laws and regulations.
  • Review and identify significant contract or programmatic requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure policies and procedures compliance with appropriate laws and regulations.
  • Lead the development, negotiation, and management of subcontracts and supplier agreements.
  • Analyze complex RFPs, RFQs, and Subcontract Agreement terms to identify compliance risks and opportunities.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of contractual documents, including NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Master Service Agreements, and Subcontracts.
  • Represent the company to a variety of customers, including the U.S. Government, commercial, and public/private institutions.
  • Resolve contractual issues and disputes through effective negotiation and communication with stakeholders, engaging with legal counsel as necessary.
  • Work closely with cross-functional departments such as accounting, sales, operations, and project management to align contract terms with business objectives and operational capabilities.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of contracting policies, templates, and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Contract Management, Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in contracts, subcontracts, and/or combination of experiences.
  • Experience in government contracts and subcontracts preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Sound judgment in decision-making and problem solving
  • Ability to organize, manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • In-depth knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations and general contracting principles.
