Communications

• Execute communication strategies aligned with Walrus’s business objectives, working closely with the Head of Communications to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
• Collaborate with ecosystem partners and cross-functional teams to identify and develop compelling stories that resonate with target audiences.
• Drive execution for strategic initiatives that demonstrate the need for Walrus in the digital marketplace.
• Endeavor to build the profiles of Walrus spokespersons, including the Managing Executive of the Walrus Foundation, and drive spokesperson preparation in the form of media opportunities, events, and more.
• Work alongside Partner and Product Marketing to plan and execute Walrus announcements, ensuring messaging consistency, driving media outreach and providing creative, enhanced communications support for new and existing partners, as well as new product launches.
• Write and edit high-quality content including blog posts, speaking proposals, and communications materials that effectively convey Walrus's technical capabilities to diverse audiences.
• Support conference and event planning including travel to manage onsite communications.
• Work with regional teams to adapt communications for different markets.
• Support crisis communications response as needed

Developer Relations

• Mysten Labs believes that decentralized and open protocols are the bedrock of the internet of value. This is why at Mysten Labs, we are creating foundational infrastructure to accelerate the adoption of decentralized protocols based on blockchain technologies.\n• The Developer Relations team engages with the developer community online and in person to provide expert help and guidance in building next-generation Web3 applications across ouir suite of products.\n• As an engineer on the Developer Relations team, you will have or develop a technical understanding of the Sui and Walrus protocols as well as a proficiency in writing Sui Move. You will have or develop an understanding of the Sui ecosystem by using developer tooling and testing apps. You will use your newly-developed knowledge to collaborate and connect with developers, enabling them to build and innovate on our stack.\n• You will use your excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts to a wide variety of audiences, such as Web2 developers and Web3 developers, and through a variety of mediums, including documentation, tutorials and workshops.\n• As an experienced engineer, you will be able to operate on your initiative, prioritize work streams based on impact, and manage cross-functional teams. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys high-impact, complex, and multi-disciplinary programs. Experience with Move (or Rust) is a positive that will enable the role to be picked up quickly, but fast learners are also welcome!\n• What You'll Do:\n • Understand the community's goals, and provide technical expertise and direction to help the developers navigate their journey of building on Sui and Walrus.\n • Create and own the feedback loop between the community and the network.\n • Translate developer feedback into meaningful product insights for future product development.\n • Develop and deliver remote and in-person training sessions and workshops for new and existing Sui developers.\n • Cultivate and grow the local developer community.\n• What You’ll Have:\n • 5+ years of Software Engineering or combination of Software and DevRel Experience.\n • Strong written and verbal communication skills.\n • Strong interest in Web3.\n • Flexibility and willingness to travel and connect.\n• Nice to Haves:\n • 2-3 years prior DevRel experience.\n • Experience with blockchain, cryptography and/or Web3 engineering.\n • Experience with Move and/or Rust programming language(s).\n • Home base in or proximity to SF Bay Area or NYC.\n• Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, which may include verification of employment history, education credentials, criminal history, and other relevant information.\n• Our team is remote first and we are hiring across the world.
