About the role

  • Develop, test, and implement PLC programs for robot controllers, ensuring effective control of automation systems.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to PLC-based systems, including robot controllers and associated automation equipment.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate PLC systems with other automation solutions, such as sensors, robotics, and HMI interfaces.
  • Continuously monitor and improve system performance by optimizing PLC code and addressing bottlenecks.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including PLC programming code, wiring diagrams, and process flow charts.
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless system functionality and continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and support to team members on PLC programming and troubleshooting, ensuring they can maintain and operate systems effectively.
  • Ensure all PLC programming activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience programming PLCs, specifically for robot controllers and automation systems.
  • Hands-on experience with major PLC brands (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of automation systems, robotics, and industrial control processes.
  • Experience with HMI/SCADA systems is a plus.
  • Expertise in ladder logic programming, function block diagrams, and structured text.
  • Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with robotic systems, including programming and troubleshooting robotic controllers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with robotic programming (e.g., ABB, KUKA, FANUC).
  • Familiarity with PLC simulation software and tools.
  • Knowledge of ISO and safety standards for automation systems.
