About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own enterprise-wide sales compensation strategy
- Design incentive compensation plans, pay curves, accelerators, SPIFs, and performance metrics
- Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to ensure ROI and cost alignment
- Drive plan design and refinements
- Own accurate commission calculations and timely payouts
- Establish controls, documentation, and compliance standards
- Lead dispute resolution and maintain plan transparency
- Partner with Payroll, HR, and Finance on accruals and reporting
- Deliver executive-ready reporting on attainment, pay-for-performance alignment, and plan effectiveness
- Forecast incentive compensation expense and analyze budget variance
- Identify trends, risks, and productivity opportunities
- Build scalable dashboards and reporting tools
- Enhance incentive compensation systems and automation
- Partner cross-functionally to improve data integrity and reporting efficiency
- Lead process improvements that increase accuracy and reduce risk
- Serve as the primary incentive compensation advisor to Commercial Leadership
- Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors degree in finance, business, or related fields preferred
- 8+ years of experience in Incentive Compensation, Sales Operations, Finance, or Commercial Analytics
- 3+ years of people leadership experience
- Proven success designing and administering complex sales compensation plans
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical expertise
- Deep understanding of pay-for-performance principles and governance
- Experience in healthcare, biotech, or life sciences preferred
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel, ICM Systems, Salesforce, BI tools (e.g., Looker/Tableau), SQL preferred
