About the role
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Complete balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure balances are accurately stated in accordance with GAAP, statutory, and company policies.
- Perform financial analysis to identify and resolve differences.
- Assist with audits by providing requested documentation to the auditors.
- Assist the Accounting Manager with maintaining the Prepaid Schedules, and recording the related transactions.
- Support the team with ad-hoc projects.
- Maintain accounting schedules and reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Products, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn necessary computer programs quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to follow established policies and procedures to complete assignments with a high level of accuracy.
- Superior professional demeanor with good organizational skills.
