About the role
- Lead the strategic direction of the organization with emphasis on driving profitable growth and innovation in precision diagnostics. Support development of Myriad’s long-range strategic vision and partner with CEO and senior leadership on mid- and long-range plans. Partner with CFO and analytics to develop long-range financial plans maximizing ROIC and profitability. Evaluate strategic acquisitions, licensing opportunities, and joint ventures aligning to Myriad’s strategy. Monitor disruptive technologies in diagnostic tools, biomarker discovery, and AI/ML; translate insights into recommendations. Lead enterprise-level market, provider, and patient research to evaluate trends and unmet needs across diagnostics and precision medicine. Develop customer segmentation frameworks to inform enterprise planning and product strategy. Align cross-functional stakeholders across Clinical/Medical Affairs, Product, Regulatory, Commercial, and Operations for strategic execution. Facilitate leadership workshops and high-level strategic reviews. Deliver annual refresh of market mega-trends and portfolio assessment; provide strategic assumptions and executive-level communications.
Requirements
- Advanced degree required (PhD, PharmD, MD, or similar); MBA or equivalent business training strongly preferred. 15+ years of strategic leadership experience, including roles in diagnostics, biotech, or healthcare. Deep understanding of precision medicine, molecular diagnostics, health data ecosystems, and regulatory pathways. Experience in market segmentation, customer and brand research and insights. Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and communication skills, with a proven track record of driving business transformation and growth.
