About the role
- lead a collaborative, multi-functional, agile team working to deliver ground breaking tax and compliance systems and enable new user experiences within this broad and dynamic domain.
- drive the engineering strategy, shaping product and technology roadmaps that enable the continued evolution of MYOB Practice products.
- inspire innovation, incremental delivery, and continuous improvement, all while ensuring security and compliance remain at the forefront of our operations.
Requirements
- Cloud & Distributed Systems Expertise: Hands-on experience building and maintaining distributed systems in AWS and serverless architectures (Lambdas, event-driven patterns).
- Technical Leadership & Solution Design: Proven ability to lead Principal Developers, design robust solutions, and manage complex production systems while driving engineering standards and operational excellence.
- Reliability & Observability: Skilled in implementing end-to-end observability, incident management practices (on-call planning, post-incident reviews), and continuous reliability improvements.
- Security & Data Privacy: Strong understanding of security principles, critical data management, and vulnerability management for secure and compliant systems.
- People Leadership & Collaboration: Experienced in guiding dispersed teams, fostering collaboration, and managing performance, growth plans, hiring, onboarding, and feedback processes.
