About the role

  • Integration site lead reports to the Director of Plant Integration and represents operations' point of view throughout detailed final design, construction, and commissioning
  • Primary operations representative on project integration involving new plant equipment and systems
  • Participate in periodic site visits and site walkdowns with PMC Quality assurance personnel to verify project quality
  • Coordinate with PMC, EPC, and RRE to verify and witness equipment clean close inspections
  • Witness pre site turnover circuit verification by the EPC of all circuits and drawings
  • Support staffing and onboarding plans for new facility or staffing additions; may participate in hiring interviews
  • Execute project integration protocols, procedures, and policies to ensure operational readiness at construction turnover
  • Work closely with operating and maintenance personnel to ensure training, procedures, work management, preventive maintenance, equipment labeling & tagging, tooling, and spare parts are addressed prior to commercial operation
  • Provide periodic reports to leadership and construction management; monthly updates of the PIT readiness tool
  • Ensure team member activities and training align with project schedule; coordinate with PIT Database Administrator and Spare Parts Planner
  • Manage approved PIT budget for the project and provide feedback to management on budget issues
  • Employee’s personal vehicle will be driven; mileage reimbursed; travel required around the Eastern Carolinas; can sit at different company office sites if needed
  • Responsible for completing all integration activities to ensure operational readiness for solar and battery storage new plants in the Carolina's region
  • Plant Integration Team Site Lead provides conduit between construction, commissioning, and operating plant entity for new builds, major projects, or major plant modifications, ensuring seamless transition through commercial acceptance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years related experience
  • In Lieu of bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience; HS Diploma/GED and 8 years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, project management (desired)
  • 3-5 years plant operations experience including some experience in major projects
  • Power Plant operations management experience; project management and/or outage management experience; excellent written and verbal communications skills; managerial experience; some career exposure to construction activities; extensive travel required
  • Experience with Solar or Storage Maintenance and Operations
  • Maintenance and project management
  • Previous Experience as Plant Integration Site lead
  • Proficient to demonstrated Expertise in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving
  • Project related work experience, Risk Management, Project Leadership, Strong Collaboration, Oversight
  • Utility Business Unit Experience as determined by BU ranging from Regulated or Commercial energy services experience
  • Construction Management knowledge
  • Proficient to Expert in project related Scheduling, Cost Controls
