About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, implement, evaluate, and coordinate developmental training programs for employees at various levels
- Support curriculum development projects from inception to release and maintain content after launch
- Create training content for delivery through different platforms
- Transfer current training content to e-learning modules as needed
- Assign training, maintain employee training records, and produce reports
- Document and maintain training content and structure in the appropriate repository
- Monitor and improve training processes and procedures
- Evaluate instructor performance and training-program effectiveness and recommend improvements
- Develop training materials, including course outlines, background materials, training aids, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, and feedback forms
- Facilitate individual or group training sessions for adult learners through various modalities
- Coordinate training schedules and track training progress with departments and employees
- Respond to staff and trainee questions about training information, travel, registrations, policies, and procedures
- Gather survey data to identify weaknesses and additional training needs
- Research learning trends, instructional design techniques, technology, and facilitation practices
- Travel to different sites as needed and perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; an associate degree with two or more years of extra training experience may be substituted, or more than four years of related experience with a high school diploma or equivalent may be substituted for a degree
- 2 or more years’ experience in curriculum development and facilitating training for adult learners
- Ability to create innovative and engaging training materials and assist in administering training
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of training assessment and evaluation processes
- Extensive experience using technologies to create and deliver trainings, including software programs and LMS systems
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to travel to site locations
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance
- Favorable credit check
- Successfully pass a background investigation and drug screen
- Ability to stand for extended periods and attend meetings
- Ability to sit for prolonged and extended periods
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Ability to write, type, and use a telephone system
