About the role
- Support Compliance Monitoring and Testing Program in conducting reviews based upon the regulatory requirements and risk assessment outcomes.
- Understand and stay abreast of applicable regulatory requirements to ensure monitoring and testing is adequately designed to identify potential control gaps and non-compliance with laws and regulations.
- Carryout issue management protocols for the proper follow-up of open issues, including the validation of cured issues.
- Escalate potential issues and exception items noted during the review process to senior management.
- Ensure that stakeholders respond with appropriate action to address all draft recommendations and deficiencies noted during the fieldwork process.
- Provide assistance with the Team’s collective issues management and validation testing.
- Assist with efforts in developing annual testing plans.
- Lead ongoing compliance monitoring efforts in key areas where compliance risks exist.
- Building and managing relationships with stakeholders across the business and peers within compliance.
- Assist in communicating results to Compliance Director and Chief Compliance Officer, as needed.
- Maintain strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills; ability to complete multiple tasks within deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and/or automate compliance processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Act as a subject matter expert, offering coaching and mentoring on compliance issues and regulatory interpretations to compliance specialists
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or commensurate work experience.
- 5+ years of compliance, risk management, audit or regulatory exam support experience.
- 2+ years of leadership experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong ability to manage multiple compliance reviews and projects at the same time and meet timely deadlines.
- Exceptional analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Compliance certification, such as a CRCM, preferred.
- Must be comfortable working with people at varying levels of skill and authority.
