About the role

  • Support Compliance Monitoring and Testing Program in conducting reviews based upon the regulatory requirements and risk assessment outcomes.
  • Understand and stay abreast of applicable regulatory requirements to ensure monitoring and testing is adequately designed to identify potential control gaps and non-compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Carryout issue management protocols for the proper follow-up of open issues, including the validation of cured issues.
  • Escalate potential issues and exception items noted during the review process to senior management.
  • Ensure that stakeholders respond with appropriate action to address all draft recommendations and deficiencies noted during the fieldwork process.
  • Provide assistance with the Team’s collective issues management and validation testing.
  • Assist with efforts in developing annual testing plans.
  • Lead ongoing compliance monitoring efforts in key areas where compliance risks exist.
  • Building and managing relationships with stakeholders across the business and peers within compliance.
  • Assist in communicating results to Compliance Director and Chief Compliance Officer, as needed.
  • Maintain strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills; ability to complete multiple tasks within deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and/or automate compliance processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, offering coaching and mentoring on compliance issues and regulatory interpretations to compliance specialists

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or commensurate work experience.
  • 5+ years of compliance, risk management, audit or regulatory exam support experience.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple compliance reviews and projects at the same time and meet timely deadlines.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Compliance certification, such as a CRCM, preferred.
  • Must be comfortable working with people at varying levels of skill and authority.
  • Demonstrated commitment to service, organization values, and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor always.
