About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, development and enhancement of REST APIs, primarily using Go.
Maintenance and improvement of existing backend services.
Apply Test-Driven Development practices and ensure high code quality through static analysis and linting.
Develop internal CLI tools and supporting utilities.
Work with PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ/Kafka, S3-compatible storage and containerized environments.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes deployments.
Collaborate closely with the engineering team to deliver reliable and scalable backend solutions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in backend/API development.
Solid hands-on experience with Go and building REST APIs.
Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ or Kafka, and S3-compatible storage.
Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
Good shell/CLI skills.
Understanding of Test-Driven Development and software quality best practices.
Residency in Germany.
Business-fluent German (C1).
