About the role
- Create events that delight, connect, and inspire.
- Design and deliver major public events that bring collections, stories, and spaces to life.
- Lead the development, planning, and delivery of all key events in the Public Programmes calendar.
- Coordinate logistics and support the Visitor Services team.
- Ensure each event runs smoothly on the day.
Requirements
- At least three years’ experience in event management, including large-scale events and/or events across complex venues.
- Proven ability to work to fixed timelines, juggle multiple priorities, and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated project management and planning capability.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships with people at all levels.
- A high level of computer literacy, including confident use of Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel).
- A current full driver’s licence and the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
- An event management qualification (preferred).
- Experience with Tessitura CRM and Artifax venue and event management software (desirable but not essential).
