About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Generate market information relevant to the assigned territory
  • Qualify long-range projects through face-to-face customer meetings
  • Perform cold calling to selected schools and municipalities
  • Present and differentiate Musco's products and services for projects timed to order exceeding 12 months
  • Conduct field market research on potential sales of new products and services
  • Support Sales Management in achieving short- and long-term strategic goals
  • Attend tradeshows and conferences
  • Support the internal Team with initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College degree in Sports Management, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Business or a related field
  • 2–5 years of previous work experience preferred; entry-level college graduate will be considered
  • Passion for selling and building trusting relationships with customers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present in front of groups
  • Proven organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage workload related to customer visits, project deadlines, and internal communications
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external sales teams
  • Self-discipline to work independently to achieve results
  • Tenacity and perseverance through sales challenges and setbacks
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand and present products and services
  • Motivation to learn and develop
  • Minimum 50% travel required
  • Willingness to relocate outside of Iowa in the future
