About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Generate market information relevant to the assigned territory
- Qualify long-range projects through face-to-face customer meetings
- Perform cold calling to selected schools and municipalities
- Present and differentiate Musco's products and services for projects timed to order exceeding 12 months
- Conduct field market research on potential sales of new products and services
- Support Sales Management in achieving short- and long-term strategic goals
- Attend tradeshows and conferences
- Support the internal Team with initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- College degree in Sports Management, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Business or a related field
- 2–5 years of previous work experience preferred; entry-level college graduate will be considered
- Passion for selling and building trusting relationships with customers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present in front of groups
- Proven organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage workload related to customer visits, project deadlines, and internal communications
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external sales teams
- Self-discipline to work independently to achieve results
- Tenacity and perseverance through sales challenges and setbacks
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand and present products and services
- Motivation to learn and develop
- Minimum 50% travel required
- Willingness to relocate outside of Iowa in the future
