About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the setup of new production line equipment used to test, repair, and upgrade Musco products
  • Assist in the design, construction, and maintenance of test fixtures and test systems, including hardware, software, and mechanical components, as needed
  • Troubleshoot product failures and perform root-cause analysis on Musco electronic products returned from customer facilities
  • Collect repair data and maintain accurate repair records and databases
  • Provide feedback to product development teams regarding design corrections, product enhancements, and recurring failure trends
  • Assist in developing and documenting troubleshooting and repair protocols
  • Perform repairs on returned devices in accordance with established quality and safety standards
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to operations and repair technicians

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with the design or manufacturing of microprocessor- or microcontroller-based products required
  • Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment is ideal
  • Experience developing automated test systems is preferred but not required
  • Experience in component-level troubleshooting and repair of electronic products is strongly preferred
  • Experience with switching power supplies is preferred but not required
  • Ability to design, construct, and maintain test fixtures and test systems for microcontroller-based products
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits to the component level using schematics and common test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes and multimeters
  • Working knowledge of laboratory and manufacturing safety practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • A self-motivated approach to work
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness and ability to mentor operations and repair technicians
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
