About the role
- Plan, manage, and supervise ground investigation projects.
- Undertake soil and rock logging to BS5930 standards.
- Oversee drilling, sampling, and in-situ testing operations.
- Interpret geotechnical and geoenvironmental data and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to graduate engineers.
Requirements
- Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in ground investigation or geoenvironmental engineering.
- Looking toward professional chartership or are already chartered.
- Strong understanding of UK ground investigation standards and practices.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Experience with geotechnical software (e.g., Bentley Openground) is desirable.
- Full rights to work in UK.
