About the role
- Responsible for the growth and expansion of MCU by identifying and creating new business opportunities
- Building and maintaining relationships with Select Employee Groups (SEGs)
- Implementing strategies to drive revenue growth
- Participating in activities centered on prospecting new members and cross-sell opportunities to existing members including outbound calling and networking
- Confidently articulating features and benefits to sell consumer accounts, financial services and loans including home equity products
- Researching new business opportunities through networking and cold calling
- Analyzing market trends and competition
- Collaborating with the marketing team to devise strategies for membership growth
- Achieving and surpassing goals for Community Engagement and Member Engagement
- Attending networking events that help build new relationships with decision makers in the Metro NY area
- Utilizing effective sales management tactics to leverage relationships and drive sales results that aid in annual scorecard achievement
- Performing other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in business development, sales or a related field
- Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible schedule to include weekends and evenings
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Technologically proficient.
