Financial Planning and Analysis

• Own the end-to-end finance function, including management accounts, forecasting, budgeting, cashflow and statutory reporting.
• Ensure monthly reporting is timely, accurate and clearly explained, with meaningful variance analysis.
• Maintain strong financial controls across revenue, costs, payroll and working capital.
• Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisers, banks and other external partners.
• Lead weekly performance and revenue reporting, turning data into clear, practical insight for the leadership team.
• Build and maintain financial models to support planning, forecasting and commercial discussions.
• Support the development and tracking of unit economics across major revenue streams, including advertising, subscriptions and data-led products.
• Work closely with the CEO to sense-check assumptions, highlight risks and surface trade-offs.
• Produce weekly cashflow forecasts and longer-term cash planning.
• Oversee billing, accounts receivable and credit control across all revenue streams.
• Manage accounts payable and supplier contracts, partnering with budget holders to improve cost control and efficiency.
• Prepare payroll and ensure accuracy and compliance across all related processes.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and regular re-forecasting cycles.
• Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to help leadership understand options and constraints.
• Improve forecast consistency and reliability over time.
• Drive incremental improvements in finance systems, reporting and processes.
• Reduce manual work and improve clarity, speed and consistency in finance outputs.
• Ensure finance information integrates effectively with wider business reporting.
• Lead, develop and support the finance team.

• Build a deep understanding of Mumsnet users’ needs, behaviours, and goals
• Shape and deliver a product strategy aligned with the North Star Metric (habitual weekly users)
• Collaborate with UX, engineering, and data teams to deliver impactful, user-focused features
• Manage the product backlog: write user stories, define acceptance criteria, and ensure timely delivery
• Validate features through A/B testing and experimentation and iterate based on insights
• Track performance metrics to ensure features deliver measurable value for users and the business
• Champion a culture of innovation, user-centric design, and continuous improvement
• Use AI tools to prototype and boost productivity
• Report into the Head of Product and work from the Kentish Town office on hybrid schedule
