Commissions Analyst
MultiverseCommissions Analyst responsible for accurate commission calculations for UK sales team. Collaborating across multiple finance functions in a high-growth EdTech company.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver accurate, end-to-end monthly and year-end commission calculations for our UK sales organisation, ensuring adherence to all commission plans and policies
- Manage the reconciliation of commissions data between our CRM and commissions system, maintaining integrity across all inputs including bookings, attainment metrics, and quotas
- Produce monthly commissions dashboards and variance analysis for Sales leadership, Finance, and FP&A, including support for monthly accruals in line with IFRS or UK GAAP
- Build effective relationships with the Sales team, acting as the key point of contact for commission queries and compensation statement reviews
- Support the administration of our commissions system (e.g. Spiff or equivalent), including data integration, plan configuration, and reconciliation to payroll
- Contribute to process improvement across the commissions cycle — identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort, strengthen controls, and apply AI and automation tools where appropriate
- Support internal and external audit activity by preparing commission schedules and documentation, developing an understanding of the financial controls expected at our stage of growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related numerate discipline, and have 2–3 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or analytical role
- You are currently studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
- You have strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables and complex formulas, and an interest in using AI tools to improve analytical workflows
- You have a working understanding of the accounting treatment of sales commissions, including awareness of IFRS 15
- You can demonstrate an ability to learn and master finance and business systems quickly, with a track record of picking up new tools without formal training
- You have a genuine continuous improvement mindset — you naturally question how things are done, look for ways to make processes faster and more accurate, and are curious about how technology can help
