About the role
- Expand EDGI’s Public Comments Initiative to develop thorough, accessible informational resources about proposed rules and rules at risk of deregulation
- Expand EDGI’s Community-Led FOIA project and resources about effective use of public records in environmental advocacy
- Develop and lead workshops to support individuals and organizations in writing public comments and using public records requests
- Write, process, and liaise with government bodies and communities about public records requests
- Coordinate and lead volunteers to advance the Public Comments Initiative
- Coordinate internal EDGI learning sessions about relevant issues
- Collaboratively help build EDGI’s advocacy strategy and enhance EDGI’s community-engaged practices

Requirements
- Demonstrated environmental policy experience
- Demonstrated community engagement experience
- Experience working with government information
- FOIA and public comments knowledge required
- Ability to work independently and collaborate well with others
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Support EDGI Code of Conduct and mission, vision, and values
