Lead the visioning and implementation of FSLN’s next chapter as an independent network.
Provide facilitative leadership and implement a compelling mission and impact strategy centered on racial equity.
Cultivate partnerships, ideas, and approaches to fulfill the network’s vision and mission.
Partner with the FSLN Leadership Council, members, funders, and partners to co-design governance and operational frameworks.
Nurture relationships with diverse membership and ensure programming aligns with members’ needs.
Foster connection, collaboration, and peer-to-peer learning across the network and broader movement.
Represent FSLN in national and regional conversations to elevate grassroots practitioners.
Build, lead, and support a high-performing, values-driven team; establish organizational culture and staff development.
Oversee operational systems (finance, HR, compliance, administration) in partnership with Multiplier.
Develop policies, systems, and practices supporting organizational health, transparency, and accountability.
Oversee annual budgeting and work with Multiplier to manage project budget and cash flow.
Develop and execute fundraising strategy; cultivate funder and donor relationships; pursue diversified revenue streams.
Provide oversight for program design, administration, implementation, evaluation, and reporting; facilitate member engagement and leadership development.
Requirements
A passion for the FSLN’s mission and vision.
Extensive experience US food systems development and transformation, with a strong understanding of movement strategy and grassroots initiatives.
Proven track record in organizational leadership and change management, particularly in leadership transitions and complex situations.
Proven success balancing organizational vision with day-to-day program and operational details; ability to prioritize under pressure.
Experience managing staff, contractors, and consultants.
Familiarity with fiscal sponsorship models and nonprofit governance.
Demonstrated operational skills including budget management, organizational planning, and infrastructure development.
Demonstrated success in fundraising and working with diverse funding sources.
Superb interpersonal and relationship management skills.
Self-starter, comfortable working independently and with little or no direction.
Excellent communication skills: written, email, presentations, phone and in person.
High self-awareness and ability to bring in others to round out expertise.
Creative thinker and do-er who thrives on making things happen.
At least 10 years of relevant experience, acquired through formal education and/or sector relevant work.
