About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Run and improve deployments across development, staging, and production environments, including release checklists, version validation, and post-deployment verification.
- Own the day-to-day operation of our CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor runs, investigate failures, update Helm values and configurations, and keep release workflows reliable and predictable.
- Help drive the ongoing migration from Bitbucket to Jenkins, standardising, documenting, and automating the release flow to reduce manual steps.
- Handle operational requests from development teams, such as IP whitelisting, certificate updates, environment configuration, and scaling adjustments, within defined SLAs.
- Collaborate with the team on new environment setup, service deployments, and troubleshooting across infrastructure, applications, and pipelines.
- Improve and evolve our monitoring and alerting stack, helping the team detect issues earlier and reduce time-to-resolution.
- Contribute to scripting and automation that reduces toil and repetitive work across the team.
- Respond to and help triage incidents and security events, coordinating response and follow-through with the team.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of hands-on DevOps experience, with a track record of running and improving CI/CD pipelines and deployments in production environments.
- Solid working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerisation (Docker, Helm).
- Experience with Jenkins or comparable CI/CD tooling.
- Comfortable in Linux environments and writing scripts (Bash, Python, or similar).
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred).
- Exposure to observability and monitoring tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or equivalent).
- Experience working in a microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP).
