About the role
- Develop and maintain strategic client relationships, enhancing existing accounts and onboarding new clients in UIT sectors.
- Create and execute client account plans to drive portfolio performance, revenue growth, and return targets.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the UIT portfolio through targeted strategies.
- Develop and implement a robust industry plan to support sustainable growth and profitability.
- Act as a subject matter expert and key industry participant for UIT within GCIB Oceania.
- Collaborate with product specialists to deliver tailored financial solutions, with a focus on non-lending products.
- Lead portfolio management and transaction execution, ensuring alignment with credit and risk requirements.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members to foster a high-performing team.
- Support the Head of Corporate Coverage in managing broader coverage strategy and driving business objectives.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in UIT sectors within Institutional Banking or Corporate Finance
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, or related fields from a leading university
- Proven ability to execute complex transactions and collaborate with product partners across project finance, acquisition finance, and capital markets
- Demonstrated success in onboarding strategic clients and strengthening existing relationships
- Strong credit and risk management expertise
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build consensus
- Effective stakeholder management and collaboration skills
- Strong business acumen with the ability to identify new revenue streams and cross-selling opportunities
- Previous leadership experience in guiding and developing high-performing teams
