About the role

  • The L3 Engineer is responsible for Digital DevOps operations, performing code release deployments and technology updates for these environments. They troubleshoot and monitor issues that require knowledge of development languages, COTS applications, and infrastructure (cloud and on-prem).
  • For this position, knowledge of business functions is required to resolve critical and strategic client technology challenges.
  • They will be part of a team responsible for driving success around objectives or service level agreements for Level 2 and 3 support, regardless of the delivery source.

Requirements

  • Manage the Azure environment
  • Use tools such as Azure DevOps Actions, GitHub or GitHub, validate requirements, deploy and troubleshoot code and technologies in staging and production environments
  • Demonstrate communication skills and the ability to drive continuous improvements
  • Develop, troubleshoot and operate Terraform IAC (infrastructure as code)
  • Build, maintain and control staging and production environments
  • Troubleshoot incidents in staging and production environments
  • Be proactive in monitoring and alerting resources for all platform components
  • Ensure system health and capacity, review and enhance as needed
  • Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and perform knowledge transfer to others
  • Demonstrate knowledge of at least one container technology (such as Docker) and one database technology (such as MySQL, MS-SQL or PostgreSQL)
  • Work with code management tools such as GitHub or GitLab
  • Have knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools and deployments
  • Experience with Linux and Windows administration
  • Experience in configuration management across multi-platform environments (such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet or Salt)
  • Develop and maintain an up-to-date understanding of the architecture and technical designs associated with the delivered application services
  • Define and maintain operational processes that support existing and new application services and features
  • Work in complex technical environments
  • Desired certifications:
  • Azure, AWS, Terraform, ITIL certification(s)
  • Strong background in engineering, operations and/or development
