About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the executive team by providing sound financial analysis, insights, and operational financial management
Ensure accurate reporting and effective control of the company’s financial activities
Contribute to informed decision making by partnering with business leaders
Support the implementation of the organisation’s financial strategy
Ensure the financial profitability and sustainability of the organisation through strong financial administration, disciplined working capital management, and close monitoring of financial performance
Identify risks and improvement opportunities
Operate under the guidance of the CFO: Bayobab and work closely with the Bayobab Finance team
Execute financial plans, maintain robust financial controls, and support the delivery of business objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 4 years tertiary degree (B.Sc. Accounting / BCom Accounting, or a related discipline)
Professional qualification – CA (required)
Postgraduate qualification is advantageous
Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience in Finance Leadership position with at least 5 years in management role.
Experience in wholesale/infrastructure/B2B Telecommunications sector/ industry will be advantageous.
Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise with a good understanding of emerging markets.
Successful track record as a professional in delivering exceptional business growth & financial results.
Demonstrated track record as a relationship builder.
