About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the executive team by providing sound financial analysis, insights, and operational financial management
  • Ensure accurate reporting and effective control of the company’s financial activities
  • Contribute to informed decision making by partnering with business leaders
  • Support the implementation of the organisation’s financial strategy
  • Ensure the financial profitability and sustainability of the organisation through strong financial administration, disciplined working capital management, and close monitoring of financial performance
  • Identify risks and improvement opportunities
  • Operate under the guidance of the CFO: Bayobab and work closely with the Bayobab Finance team
  • Execute financial plans, maintain robust financial controls, and support the delivery of business objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 4 years tertiary degree (B.Sc. Accounting / BCom Accounting, or a related discipline)
  • Professional qualification – CA (required)
  • Postgraduate qualification is advantageous
  • Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience in Finance Leadership position with at least 5 years in management role.
  • Experience in wholesale/infrastructure/B2B Telecommunications sector/ industry will be advantageous.
  • Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise with a good understanding of emerging markets.
  • Successful track record as a professional in delivering exceptional business growth & financial results.
  • Demonstrated track record as a relationship builder.
  • Functional Knowledge: Financial Planning and Forecasting, Financial Modelling, Analytics and Reporting, Corporate Performance Management, Accounting Standards and Procedures, IFRS / IAS, Capital Structure and Liquidity Management, Credit Management, Working Capital Management, Treasury Policy, Financial Controls & Risk Management, Tax Accounting & Optimization, Investor Relations Strategy, Business case evaluation, Capex valuations
