About the role
- Work of a highly sensitive and confidential nature is undertaken which requires stringent legal regulation
- Provide legal and risk related advice
- Manage litigation matters in Magistrate and High Courts
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements independently, including sales and distribution agreements
- Identify, assess, and advise on commercial and legal risks in transactions
- Collaborate with regulatory advisors on compliance matters
Requirements
- LLB or equivalent legal qualification
- Admitted attorney with valid practicing certificate
- Minimum 8 years' post-admission experience in commercial legal practice at a recognized law firm or in-house legal department
- Proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex sales and distribution agreements
- Litigation experience (both Magistrate and High Court)
- Experience in the telecommunications industry is advantageous
- Commercial, technical, or additional legal qualifications (e.g., LLM) are advantageous
