About the role
- You play a central role in our client projects and contribute your technical, methodological and regulatory expertise.
- Advisory & design: Developing and refining strategies, methods and processes for bank-wide governance, risk controlling and risk management.
- Responsibility in client engagements: Actively (co-)shaping projects and processes — depending on your focus, this may include business analysis, subject-matter specialization, implementation coordination, test management or (partial) project leadership.
- Advising on and implementing regulatory requirements such as CRD, CRR, MaRisk, IRRBB and ESG — from analysis through design to implementation.
- Analyzing, evaluating and preparing banking-related data to provide well-founded decision support.
- Using Excel/VBA, Access, SQL, Python or R to develop practical, data-driven solutions.
- Providing technical support to junior consultants and actively sharing knowledge within the team.
Requirements
- Degree with a banking-related focus (e.g., mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering)
- Several years of professional experience in banking or consulting, ideally in risk or banking controlling
- Ability to analyze complex quantitative, technical and regulatory requirements in a structured way and translate them into practical solutions
- High level of initiative, independent working style, resilience and interest in quantitative analyses, regulatory and strategic issues in banking
- Professional manner in client settings, strong team skills and very good German and English language skills
- Solid skills in Excel/VBA, Access, SQL or comparable tools, and willingness to travel for projects within Germany and to Luxembourg
