About the role
- Spearhead implementation and local adaptation of strategic plan to increase automotive aftermarket parts sales in the Benelux market
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities, ensuring alignment with company quality standards and guidelines
- Collaborate with sales, marketing and customer service to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities
- Continuously optimise sales processes to maximise efficiency and revenue
- Conduct market analysis of trends, competitors and customer feedback and recommend operational adjustments
- Ensure field team gathers relevant market data
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key partners, suppliers and parts distributors; act as primary point of contact
- Own operational budgets and forecasts; monitor performance and implement cost-reduction and profitability strategies
- Manage overdue payments
- Hire, lead, motivate and develop the operations team; set performance expectations and provide coaching
- Provide regular performance reports with KPIs, analysis and recommendations to management
Requirements
- Progressive experience in operations management
- Demonstrable history of driving sales growth and operational efficiency
- Significant experience in the automotive aftermarket industry (parts distribution, supply chain dynamics)
- Experience implementing strategic plans and adapting global strategies to local markets
- Proven ability to hire, lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
- Experience in developing and managing operational budgets, forecasting and cost-saving initiatives
- Stakeholder relationship management with partners, suppliers and parts distributors
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English and the language of the market (Dutch and French speakers required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or related field
- International/multi-national company experience preferred
- Accountable for management of overdue payments
