About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for the field-based startup of mechanical equipment
Execute and document mechanical system and equipment startups
Troubleshoot mechanical equipment, systems, and operations during commissioning/startup phases
Read, interpret and work from mechanical drawings, P&IDs, wiring schematics, and manuals
Coordinate with MSS management and onsite trade partners to sequence startup activities
Complete and maintain startup documentation and checklists
Assist with owner training/turnover support on system operation
Ensure QC standards align with applicable codes and safety standards
Travel from project to project and work in field/construction environments
Perform pre-functional checks on all equipment and complete all required documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need

EPA Refrigerant License
Ability to pass MVR requirements to drive a company vehicle
Previous experience in residential or light commercial split-level install
Ability to evacuate and recharge systems
Must successfully pass a background check and drug test
Attending or completed HVAC technical training
