About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for the field-based startup of mechanical equipment
  • Execute and document mechanical system and equipment startups
  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment, systems, and operations during commissioning/startup phases
  • Read, interpret and work from mechanical drawings, P&IDs, wiring schematics, and manuals
  • Coordinate with MSS management and onsite trade partners to sequence startup activities
  • Complete and maintain startup documentation and checklists
  • Assist with owner training/turnover support on system operation
  • Ensure QC standards align with applicable codes and safety standards
  • Travel from project to project and work in field/construction environments
  • Perform pre-functional checks on all equipment and complete all required documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • EPA Refrigerant License
  • Ability to pass MVR requirements to drive a company vehicle
  • Previous experience in residential or light commercial split-level install
  • Ability to evacuate and recharge systems
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug test
  • Attending or completed HVAC technical training
