About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise and lead a team of mechanical field employees, including assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, and ensuring work is carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Plan, prioritize, and schedule plumbing projects, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately and deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other contractors to coordinate plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements and plan plumbing systems accordingly.
  • Order and manage the inventory of plumbing materials, equipment, and tools needed to complete projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues, including leaks, blockages, and other malfunctions.
  • Keep accurate records of labor, materials, and project progress, and prepare reports as required.
  • Mentor and train junior plumbers, providing guidance on best practices and promoting professional development.
  • Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience as a Plumbing Foreman or similar leadership role in the plumbing industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of mechanical field employees effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a hands-on approach to resolving technical issues.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members.
  • OSHA 30 Preferred
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments, including tight spaces and elevated areas, utilizing ladders and mobile personnel platforms (scissor lifts, boom lifts).
  • Ability to safely use plumbing tools (e.g., saws, drills, grinders).
