About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage Windows Server environments, including AD, DNS, DHCP, and file services
- Troubleshoot Group Policy and identity issues
- Manage firewall and VPN configurations
- Support VLAN and subnet design within defined standards
- Lead infrastructure upgrades and migrations
- Implement secure Microsoft 365 and other cloud configurations
- Reduce repeat issues through documentation and training
- Take ownership of the stability, reliability, and security of assigned client environments
- Resolve routine to moderately complex infrastructure issues independently and escalate advanced challenges to senior engineers
- Operate within defined standards and contribute to improving them
- Document work so others can execute it without assistance
- Help elevate the capability of the team through knowledge sharing and mentorship
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least one year of hands-on IT infrastructure experience
- One year of experience in an MSP or IT services environment
- Windows Server administration experience
- Firewall/VPN configuration and administration
- Strong networking fundamentals
- Proven troubleshooting methodology
- MS-102 preferred, or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Network+ preferred
- Security+ preferred
- Must be located on the West Coast
- Must meet applicable U.S. employment eligibility requirements
