About the role

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to capture business needs and translate them into system requirements for commercial insurance applications.
  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation and system improvements within the commercial insurance domain.
  • Work with development teams to design and implement system requirements that support core commercial insurance functionality.
  • Develop clear, detailed, and structured system requirement documentation.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring that system requirements meet both business needs and technical constraints.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that system requirements are correctly implemented and meet functional and business expectations.
  • Provide ongoing support during project development, including assisting with prioritization, resolving requirements-related issues, and ensuring that changes are appropriately documented and tracked.
  • Evaluate potential risks and impacts of system changes and help develop mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of strong knowledge relating to the end-to-end Product Development process for both proprietary and bureau line of business.
  • Working knowledge of commercial insurance vendor software platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and SharePoint.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, including but not limited to property, casualty, workers' compensation, auto, financial lines.
  • Ability to analyze policy forms and rules and translate them for system requirement development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering effective solutions.
