About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Communicate the Companion Animal product portfolio in meaningful, customer-relevant ways
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned veterinary clinics, shelters, and corporate accounts
- Meet decision-makers to understand practice structures, business models, influencers, and needs
- Develop customer strategies, territory plans, and account plans
- Identify business opportunities and drive Animal Health product and service sales growth
- Partner with National Account Managers, Corporate Account Team, and Distribution Field Partners
- Collaborate across species teams to support the full Animal Health product portfolio
- Share with regional team members to foster growth and development
- Analyze monthly sales results and manage expenses within budget
- Identify programs and services to address customer needs and provide education and training
- Develop and deliver relevant customer offerings with leadership and Field Professional Services
- Maintain understanding of Animal Health products, industry trends, and competitors
- Communicate customer, industry, product, and market trends throughout the organization
- Develop and meet learning and development objectives agreed upon with leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma with at least 10 years of sales or equivalent experience OR bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of sales experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Motivation and focus on measurable, tangible results
- Commitment to collaboration and problem resolution
- Ability to understand customer needs and expectations and drive results
- Effective application of selling techniques and approaches
- Ability to manage multiple customers and accounts at different sales-process stages
- Ability to identify, develop, and independently manage accounts within a territory, including complex accounts
- Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to use an iPad
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to travel overnight and participate in some weekend activity
- Sales experience and/or Animal Health industry experience preferred
- Knowledge of animal health biological and pharmaceutical products preferred
- Understanding of or prior experience with distribution preferred
- Multilingual fluency, particularly Spanish, preferred
- Valid driving license required
- Willingness and ability to travel 50%
