About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a point of contact for learning management system administration, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant support of:
  • Curriculum and course management
  • Class scheduling and roster management
  • Job code management
  • Training assignments
  • Support training compliance and reporting by running standard and ad hoc reports, tracking curriculum completion and learner responses, issuing training reminders, and helping maintain accurate documentation.
  • Enable implementation and delivery of class offerings, including course announcements, BARDS Training mailbox support, participant communications, and coordination of logistics for instructor-led and virtual sessions.
  • Support training evaluation activities, including evaluation form development, implementation, response tracking, and summarization of findings to inform continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and update training‑related web content, ensuring information remains current, accurate, and aligned with approved materials.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support consistent execution of learning processes, troubleshoot operational issues, and ensure learning activities are implemented in accordance with established standards, governance, and applicable procedures.
  • Provide additional departmental support for Office of BARDS activities, such as manager network coordination and employee engagement activities, as needs arise and bandwidth permits.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required in a scientific, technical, business, communications, education or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, apply sound judgment, resolve operational issues, and maintain strong attention to detail, data accuracy, system integrity, and adherence to established processes and governance.
  • Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret stakeholder needs, coordinate across functions, and support resolution of emerging issues.
  • Experience supporting training administration or training operations, including training assignments, curricula, rosters, learner communications, and related documentation.
  • Experience supporting instructor‑led and virtual instructor‑led training (ILT/VILT), maintaining training materials and web‑based content (e.g., SharePoint), and providing coordination for department‑wide events.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including strong working knowledge of Excel for tracking, reporting, and data review.
