About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and manage the behavior monitoring product portfolio, including current revenue responsibilities and growth targets aligned with company objectives.
- Define the commercial strategy for Dairy Behavior Monitoring with a keen focus on customer value, measurable business outcomes, and superior user experience.
- Define and execute the commercial strategy to sustain adoption among adult cows and accelerate adoption for youngstock.
- Create high-level market valuations, compelling value propositions, and business cases for new capabilities, market expansions, and commercialization opportunities.
- Drive continuous product discovery to understand farmer, advisor, and distributor needs; translate insights into prioritized product and commercial backlogs.
- Develop and execute customer insight strategies (surveys, farm visits, customer advisory boards) to capture feedback, validate direction, and de-risk decisions.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies (including animal health monitoring), and competitive dynamics to inform product and commercial strategy.
- Collaborate with regional commercial teams to prepare strategic business plans, forecasts, sales targets, and execution plans tailored to each market.
- Partner with Brand Marketing Lead to define and develop commercial and marketing documents (sales collateral, case studies, value propositions, launch materials) that support market adoption.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Animal/Life Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, or related areas of study.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in the industry.
- Proven commercial leader with experience driving adoption of agtech, precision livestock, or monitoring solutions.
- Hands-on dairy experience or livestock management (on-farm management, veterinary practice, or similar).
- Strong understanding of behavior-monitoring tech (accelerometers, ear tags/collars, rumination/temperature sensors), data flows, and herd-management integrations.
- Experience as a Product Manager or equivalent on technology-driven products; skilled in product discovery and delivery.
- Experience running pilots and scaled deployments with cross-functional/global teams.
- Commercial acumen: forecasting, business planning, and tracking adoption KPIs.
- Data-informed problem-solver who balances risk and trade-offs.
- Effective at influencing without authority; collaborates across engineering, design, sales, and marketing.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Willingness to travel globally as required.
- A mindset of ownership, accountability, and customer focus; comfortable signing up for results and driving outcomes through others when needed.
- Passion for fostering team innovation and leveraging the collective ideas and expertise of cross-functional colleagues.
