About the role

  • Assist with data collection, cleaning, preprocessing, and analysis from diverse biomedical and research sources.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and validation of data models and analytics pipelines.
  • Work collaboratively with data scientists, IT specialists, and research staff to analyze experimental results and generate actionable insights.
  • Develop visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Document methods, code, and results following department and industry standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, present work progress, and contribute to brainstorming sessions.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Chemistry, Computational Biology, or a related field.
  • Completion of at least sophomore year by the internship start date.
  • Familiarity with Python (preferred), R, or similar programming languages commonly used for data analysis.
  • Basic understanding of statistics, data structures, and data manipulation techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for solving scientific problems with data-driven approaches.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
