About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and lead the enterprise-wide AI security strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk appetite.
Establish governance frameworks for secure AI development, deployment, and monitoring, including model risk management and data privacy.
Identify and mitigate emerging threats specific to AI/ML systems, including adversarial attacks, data poisoning, model inversion, and prompt injection.
Conduct AI-specific threat modeling and risk assessments across platforms and use cases.
Ensure compliance with global AI regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001) and cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Oversee the design and implementation of secure architectures for AI platforms, including LLMs, MLOps pipelines, and data lakes.
Lead AI-specific incident response planning and execution, including model misuse, data leakage, and unauthorized access.
Build and lead a high-performing AI security team and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on AI risk, resilience, and innovation.

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience in cybersecurity leadership roles, with at least 3 years focused on AI/ML systems or platforms
Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies, architectures, and associated security risks
Experience with cloud-native AI platforms (e.g., Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI)
Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, model interpretability, and data ethics
Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to AI and data privacy
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive enterprise-wide initiatives.
Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CCISO Certified AI Security Professional (CAISP) or equivalent Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) with AI/ML specialization
