About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and lead the enterprise-wide AI security strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk appetite.
- Establish governance frameworks for secure AI development, deployment, and monitoring, including model risk management and data privacy.
- Identify and mitigate emerging threats specific to AI/ML systems, including adversarial attacks, data poisoning, model inversion, and prompt injection.
- Conduct AI-specific threat modeling and risk assessments across platforms and use cases.
- Ensure compliance with global AI regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001) and cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Oversee the design and implementation of secure architectures for AI platforms, including LLMs, MLOps pipelines, and data lakes.
- Lead AI-specific incident response planning and execution, including model misuse, data leakage, and unauthorized access.
- Build and lead a high-performing AI security team and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on AI risk, resilience, and innovation.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity leadership roles, with at least 3 years focused on AI/ML systems or platforms
- Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies, architectures, and associated security risks
- Experience with cloud-native AI platforms (e.g., Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI)
- Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, model interpretability, and data ethics
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to AI and data privacy
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CCISO Certified AI Security Professional (CAISP) or equivalent Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) with AI/ML specialization
