About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, test and debug high-quality software solutions, setting the standard for engineering excellence and promoting best coding practices across the team.
  • Provide technical leadership on complex initiatives, ensuring solutions align with engineering strategy, technology standards and architectural principles.
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable software solutions and third-party integrations, working closely with Architecture teams.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews covering maintainability, automated testing coverage, performance and engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers and engineers to understand challenges and design scalable technology solutions.
  • Mentor and coach engineers at all levels and support the development of high-performing engineering teams.
  • Drive operational excellence through monitoring, alerting, incident management and continuous service improvements.
  • Shape and improve warehouse technology supporting the Fashion, Home & Beauty Supply Chain & Logistics sub-domain.
  • Deliver solutions across Warehouse Management Systems and related platforms with strong observability and meaningful metrics.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven track record in full-stack engineering, delivering high-performing, scalable user interfaces, backend systems and enterprise integrations.
  • Deep understanding of software engineering principles, patterns and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of automated testing and performance testing across unit, integration and end-to-end testing layers.
  • Proven experience implementing DevSecOps practices at scale across enterprise applications.
  • Technical expertise in Java, SQL, JavaScript and modern CI/CD tooling.
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud-native solutions focused on scalability, performance, observability and security.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Desirable: knowledge of retail, especially Supply Chain and Logistics.
  • Desirable: experience with Warehouse Management Systems, including Blue Yonder Dispatcher.
  • Desirable: experience integrating third-party transport planning, transport execution and operational systems in large-scale enterprise environments.
