About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, test and debug high-quality software solutions, setting the standard for engineering excellence and promoting best coding practices across the team.
Provide technical leadership on complex initiatives, ensuring solutions align with engineering strategy, technology standards and architectural principles.
Lead the design and implementation of scalable software solutions and third-party integrations, working closely with Architecture teams.
Conduct thorough code reviews covering maintainability, automated testing coverage, performance and engineering standards.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers and engineers to understand challenges and design scalable technology solutions.
Mentor and coach engineers at all levels and support the development of high-performing engineering teams.
Drive operational excellence through monitoring, alerting, incident management and continuous service improvements.
Shape and improve warehouse technology supporting the Fashion, Home & Beauty Supply Chain & Logistics sub-domain.
Deliver solutions across Warehouse Management Systems and related platforms with strong observability and meaningful metrics.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven track record in full-stack engineering, delivering high-performing, scalable user interfaces, backend systems and enterprise integrations.
Deep understanding of software engineering principles, patterns and best practices.
Strong knowledge of automated testing and performance testing across unit, integration and end-to-end testing layers.
Proven experience implementing DevSecOps practices at scale across enterprise applications.
Technical expertise in Java, SQL, JavaScript and modern CI/CD tooling.
Experience designing and implementing cloud-native solutions focused on scalability, performance, observability and security.
Excellent communication, leadership and mentoring skills.
Desirable: knowledge of retail, especially Supply Chain and Logistics.
Desirable: experience with Warehouse Management Systems, including Blue Yonder Dispatcher.
Desirable: experience integrating third-party transport planning, transport execution and operational systems in large-scale enterprise environments.
