About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the technical architect for Adobe Commerce (Magento) solutions, defining architectural standards, integrations and development best practices for the team’s projects.
- Code actively: the role requires direct participation in development (custom modules, API integrations, performance optimizations), not only theoretical architecture definition.
- Review code and lead code reviews, raising the team’s technical standard through practical example, not just documentation.
- Technically evaluate and validate integration proposals with external systems (ERP, payment gateways, PIM, CRM, etc.).
- Diagnose and resolve complex performance, scalability and stability issues directly in the source code.
- Support architectural decisions in medium/large e‑commerce projects, balancing technical robustness with deadlines and the resource constraints of a small team.
- Provide technical guidance to more junior developers, acting as a day‑to‑day technical reference (pair programming, hands‑on mentoring).
- Participate in discovery and technical planning of new projects, bringing realistic implementation feasibility.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong experience as a Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce developer (not just theoretical architecture) — proven track record of production code.
- Experience working with small/lean teams where the architect needs to be hands‑on rather than just directing remotely.
- Deep knowledge of PHP and the Magento framework (module development, plugins, observers, GraphQL/REST APIs), and ideally Adobe Commerce Cloud.
- Experience with e‑commerce integrations (ERP, payment gateways, marketplaces, PIM).
- Nice to have: experience with performance tuning, cache architecture (Varnish, Redis), and scaling high‑traffic platforms.
- Required: English communication skills.
