About the role
- Develop and execute a proactive PR strategy aligned with business objectives
- Cultivate relationships with key journalists, editors, influencers, and media outlets
- Draft and distribute press releases, bylines and additional content types
- Secure and manage media placements, interviews, and bylined articles in relevant outlets.
- Monitor news cycles and identify opportunities for reactive media engagement and executive commentary.
- Manage award submissions, thought leadership programs, and speaking opportunities.
- Strategically position key executives as industry authorities and trusted voices on relevant topics.
- Develop and refine executive messaging, bios, thought leadership pieces, and speaker profiles.
- Secure and manage executive interviews, op-eds, bylined articles, and speaking opportunities.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to prepare executives for media engagements, including briefing docs and talking points.
- Identify and engage with industry influencers, analysts, and content creators who shape industry conversations.
- Build long-term, value-driven relationships that amplify our brand narrative in key digital and social ecosystems.
- Collaborate with marketing and partner teams to develop co-branded opportunities, interviews, and partnerships with influential voices.
- Own and execute the North American social media strategy across key platforms
- Plan and create engaging, on-brand content, including posts, stories, graphics, videos, and copy
- Manage content calendar and ensure integration with broader marketing campaigns
- Monitor social conversations, trends, and competitor activity to keep content timely and relevant
- Engage with followers, respond to comments/messages, and foster community interaction.
- Track and report on key metrics (engagement, reach, growth) and optimize based on performance.
- Work closely with marketing, content, design, and executive teams to ensure messaging consistency.
- Adhere to internal processes for PR and social content approvals, workflows, and publishing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in PR, social media, or communications roles.
- Proven ability to secure media coverage and grow social media engagement.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills across multiple formats.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social), and best practices.
- Experience managing corporate or brand social media accounts, ideally in a B2B or B2C environment.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and managing multiple priorities.
- Basic understanding of media monitoring (e.g., Cision, Meltwater) and social analytics tools.
